Split a PDF into separate pages
Turn one PDF into a file per page — or only the pages you name — and download each one. The document is split in your browser and never leaves it.

Say it the way you would say it to a person. Your words are matched to one of 18 tools by readable rules, and the tool runs right here in your browser. No upload, no account.

- Check how many files came out.
- Download each page’s PDF from Results.
Things you can type: split this pdf split it into single pages
Every page, or the ones you pick
Leave the pages blank and every page becomes its own PDF, named after the original: report-page-1.pdf, report-page-2.pdf and so on. Name pages — 2,5,9 or 1-4 — and only those are split out, one file each.
Want a range kept together as one document instead? That is extracting, in the PDF page editor.
Nothing is re-rendered
Each page is copied into its new file as it was: text stays selectable, links keep working and nothing is compressed. The work happens in your browser, so a confidential document is never sent to a server to be split.
Page numbers are the PDF’s own count from its first page. That can differ from the numbers printed on the pages when the document has a cover or front matter, so check the result before you rely on it.
This page runs the PDF page editor, set up for one job. Open that page for everything it can do.
Questions
Split PDF: common questions
How do I keep pages 3 to 5 together?
Use extract instead of split: in the PDF page editor, choose “Extract selected pages” and enter 3-5. Split always makes one file per page.
Is there a page limit?
No fixed limit. Very long documents depend on your device’s memory, since every page becomes a file.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is split in this browser tab.
